DO DISTURB #4
Performance art, dance, music and theatre: for the 4th year running, the DO DISTURB festival will set the Palais de Tokyo on fire.
This year DO DISTURB teams up with the A4 Arts Foundation, the Human Resources art space, the Verbo Performance Art Festival and the Hayward Gallery to take a closer look at performance art respectively in Cape Town, Los Angeles, São Paulo and London. In parallel, the Palais de Tokyo has invited numerous artists, including Pia Camil from Mexico (whose work was recently exhibited at New York's New Museum), Fatima Al-Banawi (who collects and transposes the stories of the inhabitants of Jeddah), French artist Louise Siffert (who uses a fictional coaching company to address the question of violence in the world of business) and finally British artist Jamila Johnson-Small, who will soon be in residence at the Palais de Tokyo as part of the Manutention (performance art residence) programme.
